In baccarat there are only two hands – the player's hand and the banker's hands, but that doesn’t mean that only one player can bet every round. Players can choose to bet on the banker's hand as they can choose to place their bets on the player's hand. In baccarat you do not play against the house, the casino is responsible to manage the game: They claim all losing bets and pay all winning hands. The house had its edge; it can afford paying all winning hands for in the long run they would still make profits out of baccarat.
